Gulf to Bay Magazine

While working for Visit St. Pete/Clearwater, I helped produce and design pieces for their annual visitor’s guide, Gulf to Bay magazine. I helped with page layout design, illustrations, some creative direction, and photography.

Covers

I’ve helped design the cover from volume 3 till present. I was put in charge of selecting the cover image and the page teaser design. Each year I tried to select different images from around the county, in hopes of getting them to open the magazine. In 2019, the cover I designed won Bronze at the FNAME Creative Excellence Awards.

Roll Folds

Along with cover design, I also design and illustrate the roll fold that gets inserted in the magazine. Each year it has evolved from the pure layout porn of Gulf Coasting to immersing your senses in the colors of the destination.

Page Design and Illustration

Photography

Here are some of my favorite shots taken over the years that has been published. Part of my duties while working on the magazine include filling in the holes for photography needs as well as creative angles for certain shots. I also did general touch up on the images to make them publication worthy.
